Responsibilities

• Developing Integrated Solutions: You will be responsible for identifying, designing, developing, testing, deploying and operating fully integrated solutions that provide seamless, end-to-end product experiences. These solutions will support the build-or-buy decision-making process for internal tools.
• Engineering and GenAI Strategy: You will lead the development of long-term engineering strategies, particularly those focused on GenAI. These initiatives will drive innovation and optimize employee productivity.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Your role requires leading cross-functional technical efforts, ensuring alignment and consensus among diverse teams across the company.
• Scalable GenAI Systems: You will be tasked with designing and implementing scalable GenAI systems and making key technical decisions regarding technology, reliability and performance.
• Representation in GenAI Working Groups: As a representative of N-Tech, you will participate in GenAI working groups, contributing to product discussions and prioritizing efforts within Software & Systems Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams.
• Infrastructure Design: You will design and maintain infrastructure that supports modern integration methods, ensuring smooth interoperability between Netflix’s applications and third-party services, as well as those created by other Netflix teams.
• Problem Solving and Strategy: You will tackle complex, high-impact problems and shape strategies to improve the quality of systems and products across N-Tech Engineering.
• Influence on Strategy Execution: Your expertise will enable you to influence strategic decisions within your technical domain, ensuring that business objectives are met and projects align with overall company goals.
• Delivery of Technical Artifacts: You will create a wide variety of technical artifacts such as code, algorithms, designs, prototypes and architectures. These will help streamline systems and enhance their overall impact.

Skills and Experience

• 10+ Years of Software Engineering: You bring over a decade of experience as a software engineer, consistently delivering projects on time and with high quality.
• 5+ Years of AI and GenAI Experience: You have deep expertise in AI, GenAI, LLMs and Machine Learning (ML), which you apply to enterprise-level solutions.
• Data Structures and Algorithms: Your knowledge of data structures, algorithms, modern design patterns and system layers is top-notch.
• Proficiency in Python and Java: You are an expert in Python and Java, two critical programming languages for this role.
• Leadership in Project Delivery: You have successfully led projects from inception to completion, delivering high-quality end products on time and influencing technical roadmaps.
• Passion for Internal Solutions: Your passion for building internal solutions and owning the development of enterprise-wide applications is a core strength.
• API Development Expertise: You have extensive experience building quality APIs for both internal and external use.
• Cloud Computing Knowledge: Your expertise with cloud computing platforms, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS), is integral to this role.
• Front-End Technologies: You have hands-on experience with Node.js, JavaScript, React, SpringBoot, NoSQL and GraphQL.

Compensation and Benefits

Netflix offers a compensation structure that is entirely salary-based, with no bonuses. Each year, you have the flexibility to choose how much of your compensation you want as salary versus stock options. To determine your compensation, Netflix evaluates market data and considers your job family, experience, skills and background. The salary range for this role is between $100,000 and $700,000.
